The deacon extends his hands, with the right hand, palm uppermost, superimposed on his left hand, forming a Cross, and says to the priest: Master, give me the precious … The priest gives the deacon the Holy Bread into the deacon’s right palm, saying: The precious and holy and most pure Body … The deacon withdraws behind the Holy Table, bowing his head, and prays together with the priest, saying: 0 Lord, I believe and profess … Likewise, the priest, having made a small bow, takes the other part of the particle XC with the first two fingers of his right hand and says: The precious and holy and most pure Body … And thus, with fear and great care, first the priest and then the deacon receive the Holy Bread, each from his own hands. |

Always wait for the priest to say “Deacon approach” before going around the Holy Table.
